# 🎉 AsyncAPI 2.0 is available now!

# AsyncAPI 2.0 is out 🎉

Hey \<\<First Name>>,

 We've got exciting news. After more than a year of hard work, industry reviews, and great feedback from the community, **we're happy to announce that the AsyncAPI specification has reached version 2.0.**

### What's new?

- Unified `events`, `stream`, and `topics` into the`  channels ` object.
- Support for multiple message schemas: Avro, JSON Schema, OpenAPI, etc.
- Added the `bindings` property to define protocol-specific details.
