## 📢Announcements

- The AsyncAPI Governance Board 2026 elections are currently underway. If you are a TSC member, please make sure to cast your vote before the 20th of July. [Read the blog for details on the candidates](https://www.asyncapi.com/blog/2026-governance-elections?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=community_updates&utm_id=newsletter).
- Finally, we now manage our own CFP system, and this work was made possible by [Ashish Padhy's](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ashish-padhy3023)contributions. - We’re excited to welcome three new mentees selected for the AsyncAPI Maintainership Program. [Ishita Sati](https://github.com/Ishita-190) is working on the AsyncAPI React project, [Tushar Anand](https://github.com/neoandmatrix) on the AsyncAPI CLI project, and [Varshitha Besthavemula](https://github.com/batchu5) on the AsyncAPI Generator project.
- The Call for Speakers for the following events is now open:

  - ​[London Conference](https://cfp.asyncapi.com/london-2026)- deadline until the **9th of August**.
  - ​[Online Conference](https://cfp.asyncapi.com/online-2026) - deadline until the **6th of September**.
  - ​[Paris Conference](https://cfp.asyncapi.com/paris-2026) - deadline until the **27th of September.**
- Lastly, we will be present at [APIConf Lagos](https://apiconf.net)as Community Partners and also with the API Standards Booth on the 25th of July. Huge thanks to [Gbadebo Bello](https://www.linkedin.com/in/gbahdeyboh) and the whole APIConf Lagos team for having us again this year.
