During the AsyncAPI SIG meeting we agreed that first we will create a release candidate 1.0.0-rc1 and we will announce it with the community so we get it well tested before final release. Work on the Generator was our main focus over the last few weeks after the AsyncAPI Conference. One last issue left, about exploring a possibility to [generate types for schemas](https://github.com/asyncapi/generator/issues/216) provided in the AsyncAPI documents to make code generators development much easier. ### New changes in the Generator - Generator supports generation basing on a file that is located remotely. Upgrade to latest generator (npm install -g @asyncapi/generator) and run the following in your terminal: ![](https://mcusercontent.com/3cdae6aed726d2e7490aec739/images/7bc04896-cbda-4fdd-b5a2-523c94153168.jpeg) - Generator now informs you if the parameters that you pass with -p flag to the template are valid, and suggests what could be the possible values of misspelled parameters. - In generator templates you can now specify default values for the parameters. Another improvement to make writing templates easier. For more details [read docs](https://github.com/asyncapi/generator/blob/master/docs/authoring.md#configuration-file). - Template configuration is no longer done in a separate file (.tp-config.json) but is now part of the package.json file.
