We just reached 100 releases in the project. Latest release is [v0.46.1](https://github.com/asyncapi/generator/releases/tag/v0.46.1) ### Last issues to solve before the Generator 1.0 release This is the list of issues we want to work on before 1.0 release: - Put some more love into [the readme](https://github.com/asyncapi/generator/issues/285). - Support fetching of the AsyncAPI files from a remote location. [Pull request](https://github.com/asyncapi/generator/pull/346) is already opened. - Answer [the question](https://github.com/asyncapi/generator/issues/238) on how to test documentation and code generators. If it is possible to create a generic dummy document that covers all cases. - Get rid of .**tp-config.json** [configuration file](https://github.com/asyncapi/generator/issues/228) for the templates based on the Generator. - Explore a possibility to [generate types for schemas](https://github.com/asyncapi/generator/issues/216) provided in the AsyncAPI documents to make code generators development much easier. This is our top 5 that need our attention before 1.0 release. Please let us know: - If you think there are also other issues that can quickly cause breaking changes and need to be solved before 1.0. - If you want to help us out and contribute to one of these issues. We would definitely be grateful for dev help here. ### New changes in the Generator - Templates developers should be very happy that we solved two bugs in the **--watch-template**flag in the Generator CLI. Now this feature is usable again and writing templates should be much smoother - Hooks functionality: - There is a new hook type added called **setFileTemplateName**. For more details [read the docs](https://github.com/asyncapi/generator/blob/master/docs/authoring.md#hooks). - **\[BREAKING CHANGE\]** Hooks can now be shared across different templates and we also provide a library of [official reusable hooks](https://github.com/asyncapi/generator-hooks/). Check out [this](https://github.com/asyncapi/generator/pull/334) pull request and migration instructions for people that used hooks in their templates. - There is a new file template added, called $$objectSchema$$. It was the first time we met at **10AM CET** to enable APAC to join the meeting and it was a great move as we got 2 guests from Australia. - The [asyncapi-react](https://github.com/asyncapi/asyncapi-react/) component moved under supervision of the AsyncAPI community. This component, that was initially donated by [Kyma](https://kyma-project.io/) team gets more and more users and requires more maintenance support that should not rely only on the Kyma team. - We talked about Dead Letter Queue support in the specification. If we believe it is not something that should be part of the protocol bindings we should first try to explore the idea with specification extension that is the best place to experiment with the structure before it ends up as core part of the specification. Check out details in a [followup issue](https://github.com/asyncapi/asyncapi/issues/389). - We discussed a necessity of having a new flag in the generator that would allow users of the template to disable only a specific hook name and not the entire hook type.
