Hey Reader,
I've been thinking about LinkedIn lately.
Not in a "I should really post more" vague guilt way, but in a "this is actually important for my business and I've been ignoring it" way.
Here's what happened: I started being a bit more active on LinkedIn last year. Made some new connections. Had some great conversations. And then I actually looked at my profile and realised... it's not clear what I actually do. I've updated bits and pieces over the last year, but it still doesn't properly show what Digitalie is all about. My business doesn't even have its own page. And I heard from people who've been connected with me for YEARS that they don't really know how my business is doing or what I'm working on.
Ouch.
I used to be really active on LinkedIn back when I was still employed and in the early days of Digitalie. But somewhere along the way (definitely years ago now), I just... stopped. I never left completely, but I definitely wasn't showing up either.
Initially, it just happened. Other things took priority. But eventually, I made a conscious choice not to invest energy there. My other channels were working, and I didn't need to be everywhere.
But now it's time.
Updating the profile. Getting clear on what I actually do. And then posting occasionally (not every day, because let's be real, that's not happening and not necessary either).
LinkedIn in my marketing circles
And me not using LinkedIn for years and starting it back up again now is exactly why I talk about marketing circles instead of linear funnels.
Even though I have an established business and have been doing this for 15 years, things change. I still need to review my Know, Like, Trust, Buy and Care channels. And make changes every so often.
LinkedIn is a Know and Like channel for me. It's where people discover what I do, where they start to understand how I can help them, where they get a sense of who I am.
Marketing isn't "do this, this and this, then you're done". It's constant. It's circular. You're always working on different parts of the circle, depending on what your business needs.
Right now? My business needs new channels for people to Know and Like me. So that's where I'm focusing.
Meanwhile, one of my Marketing Momentum members, Bente, has been working on completely different parts of her marketing circle. She's created new products, updated her website, and just launched a quiz. She's been solidly focused on Trust and Buy. And it's working for her.
That's the beauty of understanding your marketing as circles rather than a linear path. You get to focus on what YOUR business actually needs right now, not what some guru says "is the right order".
The challenge?
The hard part isn't understanding that marketing is circular. The hard part isn't even figuring out where you should focus your energy right now. It's actually then doing just that.
That's exactly what Marketing Momentum is for.
It's my €99/month accountability programme where we help you figure out what needs attention in your marketing, and then we help you actually make it happen. No massive overhauls. No "burn it all down and start over". Just steady, consistent progress on the next things that matter for YOUR business.
We have several co-working sessions a week and weekly accountability check-ins to keep you moving forward. There is personal feedback and help from me and the cheering on of the group. It's the kind of support that helps you keep going when your motivation dips, which is exactly what I need for LinkedIn right now.
If you want a positive, encouraging environment to get things done on your marketing, Marketing Momentum might be exactly what you need. (Read more about Marketing Momentum here)
I'm running a special 50% off deal on your first month right now. That's just €49.50 instead of €99 to see if this is the accountability and support you've been missing. After your first month, it continues at €99/month, and you can cancel anytime.
