# If WooCommerce setup ever made you want to scream, read this

Ever wanted to scream when getting WooCommerce to work Reader?

I’ve been there.

WooCommerce is powerful, no doubt. But for many online business owners, it ends up being **more than they need and at the same time not as flexible as they need.**

It was built for traditional product-based stores, and that still shapes how it works. If you’re offering services, digital products, coaching, or memberships, it can feel unnecessarily complex, while also making simple things like subscriptions, payment plans, or VAT handling surprisingly difficult.

I used WooCommerce for years, both in my own business and for client projects. But it never felt like *it*. It worked for some things, but it just didn’t fit others. Like when I tried to sell Website Care Plans or run my group program, Creative Marketing Puzzle, WooCommerce became a hassle.

I already had several plugins just to handle VAT and multicurrency. But to sell subscriptions, offer payment plans, or add flexible pricing, I needed even more paid plugins. And those were often expensive and poorly reviewed.

Paying a lot for a bad plugin? Sounds great, right?
