# If your tech stack was a TV show, what would it be?

Hey Reader,

Ever had one of those weeks where time just *vanishes*? Last week was exactly that for me — I was so deep into projects that Friday arrived before I even realized I'd missed sending this email! 🫥

Oops

What’s been keeping me busy? A mix of:

- Several cool client projects

  - Working on some websites
  - Setting up a better tech stack for a client
  - Had some cool '[Pick my brain](https://digitalie.eu/product/pick-my-brain)' sessions
  - Email automations for a client
- Work for Kit
- Finishing the new version of *Creative Marketing Puzzle*

Yup, you read that right! CMP is coming back in just a few weeks! I can't wait to run this fabulous group program again where you get to puzzle your marketing together in a way that works for you.

We start the **24th of February** and doors open in about 2 weeks. If you already know you're interested [click here](https://digitalie.eu/email-feedback/) and you'll be the first to know!

## What Even Is a ‘Tech Stack’?

So yeah, I've been working hard on my clients tech stacks. But you might wonder what that is.

Your **tech stack** is all the tools you use to run your business:

- the software handling your courses
- your payments platform
- your website
- your email platform
- something you use for scheduling
- , and more.

Ideally, everything works together smoothly. But over time, tech stacks tend to… evolve*(or should I dissolve?)*.

For example:
Say you start with an all-in-one platform for courses, payments, and email marketing. But its email tool lacks key features, so you add a separate email platform. Now, some emails still go through the all-in-one system, leading to an unsubscribe mess (as people can unsubscribe in two places). Then, the built-in payment systems sales pages don’t meet your needs, so you add another payment platform and connect everything with Zapier....

And before you know it, your "streamlined" setup is actually **a tangled mess of tools duct-taped together.**Very expensive while being inefficient and full of weird little glitches. Taking a step back to evaluate it might reveal some better options that work natively together and make the whole process effortless again.

### Is Your Tech Stack a Drama, a Comedy… or a Smooth-Running Show?

So, if your tech stack was a TV show, what would it be?

- **A well-produced masterpiece** – Everything flows seamlessly behind the scenes, your systems talk to each other, and running your business feels smooth and stress-free.
- **A lighthearted sitcom** – A little clunky, but nothing too problematic. It's a little funny here and there but overall, it works.
- **A thriller** – Every time you add a new tool, the plot thickens. Will it work or will everything break? You hold your breath every time someone makes a purchase, wondering if the automations will fire.
- **A full-blown drama** – Nothing works quite right, things break at the worst times, and your tech stack is more stress than support. Every tool has a mind of its own, and you’re drowning in workarounds.

### **A Quick Way to Audit Your Tech Stack**

If your business tech is *more drama*🔥 *than masterpiece*, it might be time for a refresh.

1. List all the tools you’re currently using and their purpose.
2. Identify any missing features or frustrations.
3. Research alternatives that meet those needs.
4. See if a more streamlined setup is possible.

If you'd like help untangling the drama, I'd love to help during a [Pick my Brain](https://digitalie.eu/product/pick-my-brain) session.

And because I’m always curious: **if your tech stack were a TV show, what would it be?**Hit reply and let me know.
