# Your website needs to help your business grow

Hey Reader,

In 15 years of working with websites, I've seen it all.

Sites that were actually fine, just missing a few pieces. Sites that had grown into something nobody fully understood anymore, 500 pages, years of patches, and not a single person who could tell you what was working or why. Sites where you couldn't change a URL slug because it was already in use somewhere else on the site, connected to a page that hadn't been relevant for years.

Nobody builds a messy website on purpose. It happens because you were busy running your business. Because tech moves fast and things get added without a plan. And it's not your job to be techy.

But in the end, you want your website to work for you. It needs to work for your business to grow.

That's what I help with.

What I think makes a difference in how I work is that I sit right in the middle of design and tech. I understand design principles, I have a talented designer on my team, and I'm technical enough to build and connect all the pieces. That combination matters more than it sounds.

Because I've seen what happens when the two sides don't talk to each other. A client once sent me a beautiful design and said "build this." And I had to explain that on a real WordPress site, across different screen sizes, those carefully placed elements weren't going to land where anyone expected. What looks stunning in a mockup can become a confusing mess on someone's phone.

Good website work isn't just about making something look nice. It's about making something that works in real life, for real people, on whatever device they're using, and that it's connected to your email list, your booking system, and your checkout.

That's the bit I care about.
