A few more months then there’s a light at tunnel’s end, making it til then.. that’s a bit of the problem….\n\n\n\nOn Virtue, hopefully, far from lost \n\nSurvival is not a goal. \nIt's not a temporary condition. \nSurvival is the base. \nEverything more is staking better.\n\nIf ever \nsurvival should be seen\n as a virtue, \nwe are in dire times indeed.\n\nOscar Wilde \nonce said that patience\n was a virtue, \nonly in those with no other.\n\nSurvival is the same. \nIt's a strength, when\n no other strength is \nleft with that could be named. \n\nIf we come to value \nsurvival and patience\n as worthy parts of life, \nwe are already doomed.\n\nTo be better. \nThat is the only \n mandate laid \nupon a child, \nat the moment of birth. \n\nIt is far from \nasking too much. \nIt is the duty of each human, \n whether they live long, \nor die short, to be better.\n\nBetter than what?\nBetter than those \n who came before us.\nthose who dared not try. \n\nThere are so many content \nto occupy that same rung. \n The rung of their fathers.\nStagnation is the poison \nOf root and tradition.\n\nTradition is the killer\nof those who dared think. \nIt begs us, \"Go Back.\"\n back is not a choice.\nonly forward, may we march.\n\nThe desire to surpass, \nto be better, to grow, \n is never without \nits merit and its \n hardened times.\n\nYet growth is how\nwe break the ties,\nfresh roots, all\nour own. produce\nfirst flower. So\n\nmuch more than\nsurvival. We \n don't have to fall.\nnot roots, oh no.\nbut a vine now in bloom. \n\n\n\nSo it goes. It is as it was as I typed it. It's not a temporary condition. Survival is the base. Everything more is staking better. If ever survival should be seen as a virtue, we are in dire times indeed.
