# State of the Union

So while working on my pc I seemed to have shorted out my Mobo and GPU . I was planning on upgrading from my 3600XT to a 5700x . Since I blew everything up I didn’t end up going that route and had to buy a new Mobo and CPU . Ended up picking up a 12700k and[MSI MPG-Z690-EDGE-WIFI-DDR4](https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z690-EDGE-WIFI-DDR4)board for $390 after shipping and taxes from BH Photo.
Its been a nice upgrade. With it I have also moved to Windows 11 due to 12th gen scheduler stuff. I have been doing a lot more selfhosting. Starting with [CasaOS](https://casaos.io/)on my Rasberry pi and now [Unraid](https://unraid.net/)on my X230 . More notes of that will come in the future.

[Poco F5](https://pupontech.com/xiaomi-poco-f5-modders-guide/) is still going strong.

Got the [Hifiman Deva Pro](https://hifiman.com/products/detail/313) which is a upgrade to my Philips SHP95/9600 with Bluetooth modules. I’m like one of two people in the world who uses open back BT on a regular basis. I will hopefully get around to reviewing them but so far they perfectly fit my needs. And are a great upgrade.

Need to update the [Techreccs](https://pupontech.com/techreccs/) as well as a few other sitewide things.

We are moving over the next few weeks and the new place doesn’t have fiber so that’s gonna suck. But I might start doing more in person computer consulting work so might post some things from that.
